Denali isn't an "anything goes" environment. You'll need to follow some basic park rules during your trip into Denali National Park.
Don't worry, you'll catch on quickly and adjust to the unique pace of Denali National Park. There are fees for bus rides into the park. There's also a park entrance fee. If you plan to camp overnight
in the wilderness, there's a mandatory meeting with a ranger at the Denali Visitor Center. (Learn more about these centers on Page 13.)
Park rangers are dressed in green and gray
uniforms, and traditionally wear large brimmed hats, or green caps. They'll point you in the right direction if you ever need advice during your adventure.
If you are riding into the park on the bus for the
day, or exploring the park headquarters area, you'll be able to interact with rangers. Guided hikes and walks are led with frequency, and park visitor centers and campgrounds have special events and ranger tal ks. These are posted on printed schedules around the park.
